Escape rooms

AI Receptionist for Escape Rooms

Your game masters are running rooms when the phone rings, and the group planning Friday night calls long after you've closed. Outset picks up in your escape room's name instead of voicemail, answers their questions and helps them book a game.

Caller questions

What escape room callers ask, and how Outset answers

Answering an escape room's phone means knowing its rooms. Every answer comes from what you already publish: player counts, age rules, prices and policies for each room.

  • “Do you have anything open tonight?”

Helps them find a game tonight and sends them straight to your booking page to book it.

  • “How many of us can play in one room?”

Gives each room's player range and how you price it, per player or per room.

  • “Can my 10-year-old play?”

Gives your minimum age and whether younger players need an adult in the room.

  • “How scary is it?”

Shares how you describe each room's theme and scare level. If you don't say, it tells the caller so and takes a message for your team.

  • “How long does a game take?”

Gives your game length and how early to arrive for the briefing.

  • “Do you do birthday parties and team building?”

Shares your party and corporate packages, then takes the date, headcount and occasion and sends your team a summary to follow up.

  • “We're running 15 minutes late. Can we still play?”

Tells them your late-arrival policy, such as whether a late start comes off their game time.

  • “Where do we park?”

Gives your address and your notes on parking and which door to use.

Missed calls

Built around a game in progress

Escape room phones ring at the worst moments. A game master is briefing a group, watching the cameras for who needs a hint, or resetting a room before the next group walks in. Evenings and weekends are the busiest hours for games and for booking calls alike.

Outset only picks up the calls your team can't. When someone is free, they answer the way they do now. When nobody is, or you're closed, the caller still gets an answer, and your team gets a summary.

Questions

What escape room owners ask us

Still have one? Talk to us

What does a caller hear when Outset picks up?

Your escape room's name, in a natural voice, with no phone tree and no beep. It's the voice from the sample call. We call it Otto, and you can give yours any name you like.

Can a caller reschedule or cancel a booked game?

Not through Outset. It takes their name, their booking and the change they'd like, then sends your team a summary so you can make the change in your booking system.

What do you need from us to set it up?

Your rooms, player counts, age rules, game length, prices and policies, which are usually on your website already. We load them with you in about a day, there's no setup fee, and you call it yourself to hear how it answers before it takes a real call.

Do we keep our phone number?

Yes. Your missed calls forward to Outset, so guests keep calling the number they already have. You can use a new number instead if you prefer.

We have more than one location. How does that work?

On the Groups plan, one setup covers every location, each location is answered in its own name, and call summaries are sorted by location.

What does it cost?

It depends on your plan, how many calls you get and how many locations you run. Setup is free, there's no long contract, and you'll get a price for your escape room on a short demo call. See plans
