The New Orleans Steamboat Company is no newcomer to the Mississippi River or American’s steamboat heritage. Our parent company has been operating steamboats longer than any company in the world. In fact, we’ve been part of the history of steam transport since 1817, just five years after the first steamboat docked in New Orleans.
Duration: 7 hours Cancellation: Cruises are canceled only when the Coast Guard determines there will be severe weather along the river. Seating is available indoors as well as covered areas on the deck. We sail rain or shine.

Requirements
- Children under 6 cruise free with paid adult.
- This must be arranged 48 hours prior to tour date.
- Electronic devices must be turned off and cell phones muted while in “Big House” exhibit.
- This must be arranged 72 hours prior to tour date.
- Minimum age is 5 years and no child can sit on a lap.
- All passengers must be able to board airboat without staff assistance.
