Monterey Bay Kayaks

Guests can rent kayaks or paddleboards to explore Elkhorn Slough and Monterey Bay on their own after a safety orientation, or join guided tours to learn about local wildlife and natural history. Private tours and skill-building classes are also available. Rentals include gear such as lifevests and paddles, with options for splash jackets and wetsuits.

Requirements
- Children must be at least 5 years old for rentals; 3+ years for 1.5-hour Harbor tours
- Children 5-12 must be in a double kayak with an adult
- Kids 13+ can paddle a single kayak or standup paddleboard
- Weight limit 250 lbs per person
- Must be able to swim and have upper body strength to re-enter kayak after capsize
- No rentals to people in 3rd trimester of pregnancy
