New Friends of the Fenwick Island Lighthouse
Ocean City, MD
The Fenwick Island Lighthouse is an 87-foot tall brick tower with a third-order Fresnel lens, first lit in 1859. It was automated in the late 1940s and decommissioned in 1978, then relit in 1982 with electricity. The lighthouse is open to the public from May to September for visits.
