Backroads Whistler operates exclusively in lake rentals and guided or self-guided tours down the River of Golden Dreams. They offer a variety of boats suitable for all ages and skill levels, including canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and pedal boats. The River of Golden Dreams trip is a 3-hour round trip with 2 to 2.5 hours on the water, starting on Alta Lake and then down the river with a shuttle back at the end.

Requirements
- Children under 12 get 50% off when traveling with two adults on the River of Golden Dreams
- Life jackets approved by Canadian Department of Transportation provided to all guests
- Guests who cannot swim must inform staff before departure
- Little or no paddling experience requires a guide
